In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Week which took place from the 13th to the 19th of May, we organised a variety of events and activities for students to take part in each day of the school week. The activities were based on the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, which are: Connect, Get Active, Be Mindful, Keep Learning and Give to Others – 5 actions which are proven to improve our wellbeing. https://neweconomics.org/2008/10/five-ways-to-wellbeing-the-evidence.
The week included a friendship card postal service, lunch-time sports sessions, morning meditation classes, present giving and charity collections. At the end of the week we held a whole school assembly where students took part in lots of fun activities and learnt about different types of feelings.
